Tozzi One is a pair of high-end single driver loudspeakers.  Incorporating cutting-edge full-range driver engineering with a sub-compact enclosure designed with the latest in industrial design techniques. Its range and bass performance are remarkable for this class of purist miniature loudspeaker. Presented here in a pair of easy to assemble kits with a difficulty level normally reserved for self assembly items from the likes of Ikea – So simple even your child could do it.

Derived through DFM processes

This MarkAudio loudspeaker kit is the first kit on the market that benefits form DFM (Design For Manufacturing) processes. The first speaker available for the end user that has benefitted from rigorous development to make it easy to build. derived from the Markaudio-Sota Tozzi One, they have been built hundreds of times before in a high pressure factory environment where the deign has been tweaked to allow efficiency of manufacture. You are getting the speaker before the last stage of manufacture where all of the sub assemblies have been completed ready for you. Just take a spanner and screw driver any you will be done in minutes.

Tozzi One kit is designed to use the CHN-50 drivers also designed by Mark Fenlon, it produces exceptional range for a sub-compact speaker. Output stretches from upper bass notes to beyond the upper limit of human hearing. The advanced alloy cone has a very shallow profile, and with the signature Tozzi waveguide, gives excellent dispersion of sound energy into the room. Long-stroke suspension avoids excess compression producing clean, precise and phase-accurate sound. No filter is used; the output of the amplifier goes direct to the driver.

ADVANCED CABINET ENGINEERING

Tozzi One is constructed from three rigid sub-structures. They are made from a composite of Acrylonitrile-Butadiene- Styrene with reinforcing fibres. These can be produced to exceptional tolerances, have a long service life and are cosmetically attractive. The front and central sub-structures are precision aligned and bonded to create a stable primary assembly. The rear panel is then mechanically secured, completing the structure.

Each Tozzi One Speaker Kit Includes:

  • 2x Tozzi One cabinets ABS + PU leather in choice of red, white or black
  • Internal damping material
  • Gold plated binding posts
  • Pre-terminated internal wiring with gold plated connectors
  • Driver mounting hardware
  • Rubber feet for bottom of enclosure
  • Sealing gaskets for drivers and rear baffle

What you will need to complete your build:

  • Assembly requires a Philips head screw-driver and small wrench or socket, it couldn’t be easier as you will see in the video above.

    My brother turned me on to Mark Audio and full range speaker systems so I could not resist these little buggers. Top quality is all I can really say. Assembly is a bit tricky but can be easily done. Be sure and use the right sized phillips bit on the corner screws. I used the CHN-50s and love the pure vocals, cymbals and guitars. The conical shape of the speaker face adds to the effect of a larger speaker. I can only say Tozzi One’s are simply astounding. Especially at this price!

    These are really very good. I use them for my digital Piano with sampled or modelled piano VSTs. Normally you get a dull uninteresting sound out of monitor speakers as compared to good headphones, but these little speakers give a beautiful clear and singing tone with lots of dynamics and a fast response. Actually more pleasing than headphones, and now room filling. It’s like playing an acoustic piano. I am very happy with this discovery.

    I wasn’t quite ready to take on a full build but this kit was an ideal toe in the water. Made in under an hour, super simple especially with the video – thanks! Sounding great already on the end of a DAP and an Amptastic mini one. Ideal small office speakers, with the added pride of ownership for having had at least a small role in the construction!
